My passion for sharing the beauty of the garden led to the creation of The Garden Studio. My approach is to create garden style arrangements that are lush and alive with movement, overflowing with seasonal flowers, grasses, seed pods, and greenery, often just picked from the garden. I consider every arrangement, no matter how large or small, an opportunity to create floral art to celebrate life’s big events.
After many years of providing training and technical assistance to improve children’s mental health, child welfare, and human services, I took the leap into the world of floral design to reconnect with my love for nature, gardening, and art. After years of training, working in florist shops, and side by side with floral masters, I was ready to launch The Garden Studio to create a unique floral experience.
Just as you are excited about your wedding and special event, so am I! A huge amount of time and effort goes into purchasing and organizing supplies and selecting just the right flowers and greenery that will be just perfect for your big day. I even tend a garden plot dedicated for growing unusual flowers, grasses, and seedpods for added drama in wedding and event arrangements.
When I’m not hiking with my two Shetland Sheep dogs, enjoying family time with my husband and two adult children, or traveling, you can find me playing with flowers. Whether it is tending my garden, foraging for something unique, creating floral arrangements, or sharing my enthusiasm at a floral design workshop, the connection to art and nature brings me great joy and is my absolute passion.
