inspired by the garden

My passion for artistic floral design that captures the beauty of the garden led to the creation of The Garden Studio. My approach is to create garden style floral arrangements that are lush and alive with movement, overflowing with seasonal flowers, grasses, seed pods, and greenery — often just picked from my garden.

After many years of providing training and technical assistance to improve human services, I took the leap into the world of floral design to reconnect with my love for nature, gardening, and art. In 2013, I launched The Garden Studio to provide a customized floral design experience for clients that is inspired by nature’s bounty, the season, and the organic nature of flowers growing in the garden.

My home, garden, and floral studio on Maryland’s Eastern Shore are a magical place. When I’m not working in the garden or designing in my studio, you can find me hiking with my two Shetland Sheep dogs, enjoying family time with my husband and two adult children, or traveling to find new garden inspiration.
